I am the Creative Director for a monthly magazine on campus at the University of Michigan called Consider Magazine. We focus on providing unbiased opinions on social issues around campus, and feature work by student writers. For the past 30 years, Consider has been a point-counterpoint publication featuring two articles per issue. This year, we expanded to four articles with less biased opinions, and therefore a redesign was in order. I redesigned the layout in a way that retained our brand's image, but allowed room for illustrations.
